The Berkshires have been losing population for several decades and are projected to continue to lose population into the foreseeable future. Over the last two decades, the majority of this loss has been among young adults. The Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC), which also did a study of the economic benefits of passenger rail, is now trying to learn about why young adults (18-39) choose to live in the Berkshires and about why they may have moved away. The Berkshire Young Adults Survey will provide this information.
If you are 18-39 and have lived in the Berkshires at some point during your life, please take a few minutes to complete the survey. It’ll only take five minutes. The BRPC and the Train Campaign would appreciate, too, your help in getting this to friends and former classmates. Feel free to share the survey link https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BerkshireYoungAdults via Facebook, Twitter, and G+.
