Last July, we began shooting these interviews for a short film about the work of the Train Campaign and the Massachusetts activists and legislators who have been pushing the message of passenger rail renaissance. Now, given the prospect of major support for passenger rail from the Biden administration, we think that this could evolve into a major documentary or series that would provide a fascinating history and tell a new American story.
But first we need to get the short film made!
Help us qualify for a $5,000 matching grant from the Community Film Fund of the Berkshire Film & Media Collaborative (www.berkshirefilm.com). We have set up a separate donation page for the project and you can click here to donate any amount.
The full project budget will include distribution, packaging, licensing, and marketing, and we have begun to look for documentary partners. Your tax-deductible donation of any amount will be acknowledged here, and business sponsorships and support at different levels will secure a place in the final credits.
